The Daniels and O’Keefe Team's Blog
Earlier today, Real Estate Attorney, Richard Vetstein of the Massachusetts Real Estate Law Blog, inquired with some of his favorite Realtors about the impact the Blizzardterrible Winter has had on the Massachusetts Real Estate Market. I was happy to be included and offered my input on the Sudbury market. Click here for the article. Or, read my two cents here: “The market in Sudbury is certainly slower than a typical winter market, but there are plenty of buyers hoping to take advantage of low rates and opportunities with motivated sellers. Like with any market, homes in popular price points that are prepared and priced right, are selling quickly and in some cases, resulting in multiple offers. Buyers aren’t as hesitant to go through the process now as Sellers are. Sellers are hesitant for many reasons, lack of curb appeal – which in many cases, great curb appeal adds value to the house, the thought of buyers trudging through their houses with snow on shoes (even though it’s always requested to remove shoes), ice dam damage, the thought of moving when the desire to hibernate is much more appealing and last but certainly not least, the liability involved in having a house on the market when snow/ice/icicles can potentially cause harm can be scary for homeowners. The Spring market should be strong, with plenty of pent up demand and after the winter of ’15, more city buyers looking for a beautiful garage with a nice house attached!” When you're finished reading, start the Spring cleaning, because whether we like it or not (yes, please), Spring will eventually be here. Please call us to start talking about how you can best prepare your house for the soon-to-be hot Spring market! It's never too early to prepare. AND THEN, I'll get back to my reasons why WE LOVE Sudbury.
